One Love Nursing Ministries, Inc. and Liberty Church of Pensacola, Florida are collaborating to organize a ten-day medical / humanitarian mission trip to Nicaragua March 21-31, 2011. Our mission team members are physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses, and emergency medical personal along with lay people from across our community. Everyone participating is highly motivated to share the love of Christ while caring for bodies of impoverished and medically under served Nicaraguans.
This ambulatory care mission is set to focus on three Children of Destiny orphanages, communities in, and surrounding the Managua and Jinotega areas. We anticipate that we will be treating hundreds of adults and children during our visit for everything from hypertension to tropical diseases. Many medication and supply resources are needed to make this happen.
We genuinely appreciate any assistance given to help cover these needs. Prescription medication samples of all types can be used. Asthma inhaler samples especially are needed since they are very expensive to purchase through pharmaceutical outlets. Donations of over the counter medicines such as Mylanta, Tylenol, Advil and cold remedies will be a great help.
